CLEANSING / DETOXIFICATION

RESTORING HEALTH TO THE BODY

Whether you want to cure exhaustion, eliminate kidney problems, remove unwanted tumors, stop allergies, no longer be susceptible to colds and the flu or anything else, you have to CLEANSE (get rid of the toxins) in your BLOODSTREAM. The Bloodstream is the river of life. It carries the nutrients and oxygen to the cells for energy and carries the by-products and toxins away from the cells. The organ, which filters the majority of the toxins from the bloodstream, is the liver. The Liver is the chemical garbage dump of the body. If your liver is plugged up, or not working efficiently then it becomes like a garbage dump that's already full. If it is sluggish and slow then the BLOOD remains contaminated and the cells continue to be bathed in toxins. By the same token the liver deposits the toxins it filters into the colon via the bile. If the colon is clogged / sluggish then those toxins released by the liver will be reabsorbed and re-circulated via the blood. Does this sound like a catch 22 situation? It could be but there is an answer.

WARNING: YOU SHOULD NEVER CLEANSE YOUR BLOOD WITH OUT CLEANSING YOUR LIVER FIRST AND YOU SHOULD NEVER CLEANSE THE LIVER WITHOUT FIRST CLEANSING THE COLON.

REMEMBER THAT THE LIVER DUMPS INTO THE GI-TRACT - IF THE COLON IS BLOCKED AND YOU CLEANSE THE BLOOD OR THE LIVER, YOU WILL JUST REASORBE THE TOXINS BACK OUT OF THE COLON.

According the Merck Manual, 100% of Americans - if they live long enough, will have herniations and pockets of old, festering fecal matter ballooning out from the walls of their intestines. These lesions prevent good nutrition from being passed through the walls of the intestine and assimilated by the body.

HERE IS WHERE THE CLEANSING PROCESS STARTS.

In order to complete a proper Cleanse/Detoxification we need to reverse the logical order of the cleansing process; we need to start with the colon, then get the liver functioning optimally and lastly the cleanse the blood of existing toxins and any on going toxins being collected by the body.

The sicker you are, the more disease you have in your body, the more you need a cleansing program. However, we hope that you will adopt the Cleanse/Detoxification as a lifestyle change and not something you do once or twice a year.

Before you self-diagnose or self-treat any condition it is important that you rule out any preexisting conditions by consulting a medical professional.

WHEN MISAPPLIED, NATURAL METHODS CAN CAUSE AS MUCH HARM AS ANY OTHER METHOD.

To start the Cleansing Process it is best to gather some facts, so that we have a solid foundation at the beginning of the endeavor. One of the easiest ways to evaluate the Colon is to determine what our "Transit Time" is: "The time it takes for one bite of food to be taken into the mouth, move through the digestive system and to be eliminated." This can be done by eating something that the digestive system will not break down, such as corn, charcoal, or beets. These items because they cannot be digested will show up at the time of elimination.

Transit time sheet (PDF)

Consume one of the items in the evening (record the time of intake). Start observing the next morning and (record the time) that you first see the item in your stool. Determine how many hours it took for the food item to be processed, this is your "Transit Time".

If your transit time is over 15 hours then measures should be taken to enhance the peristalsis of the intestines. Work on getting your "Transit Time" down to around 10 to 13 hours.

Once the intestinal tract in functioning efficiently then it is time to move on to the liver cleanse/detoxification.

Clearing up the intestine's of problems that have built up over the years is a fairly simple process. By using a specially formulated Herbal Tea, using herbs to stimulate the small and large intestine, the herniations and bulging pockets will begin to heal and be eliminated. Some of the herbs used for enhancing the (Gut) function are: (Senna Leaf, Frangula Bark, Hibiscus Flower, Papaya Leaf, Roman Chamomile Flower, Ginger Root, Peppermint Leaf, Raspberry Leaf, Fennel Seed, West Indian Lemongrass Aerial Parts, and Orange Peel.)

During the Intestinal Cleanse you will want to start tabulating how much fiber you are getting in your diet. Health Guidelines recommend between 25 and 35 grams of fiber per day. The fiber intake should be a combination of soluble and insoluble fiber. Your body requires this amount of fiber to maintain the proper "Transit Time" on an on-going basis. It is not unusual for a person with a great "Transit Time" to have 2 to 3 bowel movements per day.

Liver Cleanse / Detoxification

At the end of the Colon Cleanse we will proceed with the Liver Cleanse. Lower your cholesterol, vitalize your sex life, and bring health back into your life. Cleansing and Revitalizing the Liver is one of the most important healing processes you can do for the body. The abuse the Liver is subjected to is enormous and yet we very seldom recognize the damage we are doing until it is to late. All of the processed foods we eat, our hormone intake and ingesting the pesticides that are sprayed on our crops. The chemicals we slather on out bodies in the form of body lotions and potions. The water we drink which contains Fluoride and Chlorine, all these things add toxins to the body. The Liver is the organ that is responsible for neutralizing those toxins before the body eliminates them. The Liver takes hit after hit and eventually stops operating optimally. When the liver gets overloaded it allows toxins to re-enter our bloodstreams and then be delivered to the bodies' cells where they are stored. This in turn overloads our immune system and small crises begin to occur. Without a Detoxification or Cleanse, the Liver continues to deteriorate.

Once again we can use known herbs to enhance Liver function. The idea is to heal and regenerate the liver, thin the bile and promote a healthy filtering system to process the majority of toxins that the body receives each day. The herbs with a proven track record: (Milk Thistle Extract (Silybum Marianum) contains Silymarin, Blessed Thistle Herb (Cnicus Benedictus) Dandelion Root Extract (Taraxacum Officinale) Combined with Vitamin A (Beta-Carotene) Vitamin C and Vitamin E.

Combining a Coffee Enema with those Herbs delivers a powerful Liver Cleanse and healing experience for the Liver. The coffee enemas as described in "A Cancer Therapy by Max Gerson, M.D. should be taken at least once a day for 14 days. In extreme cases and for additional support a Castor Oil Enema could be added in twice during the 14 day period.

After cleansing the liver for thirty-days we will be ready to start cleansing the blood.

At the end of the liver cleanse we suggest using a tea (Eissac or Cassie Herbal Tea) for cleansing the blood. This mixture of herbs will assist in maintaining liver and intestinal health, but will also assist in purifying the cells as well as the circulatory system.

This is also a good time to clean up your diet a little. Cutting down on your sugar (sugar nurtures the growth of yeast in the body), caffeine (caffeine takes away more energy than it gives) and alcohol (alcohol has empty calories - lots of complex sugar molecules) intakes. We also suggest substituting whole grains for white flower, and adding a good, mineral / multivitamin supplement, and fiber to your daily regimens.

A very easy way to add fiber is to have 1/3 of a cup of Kellogg's All Bran Buds cereal each and every day. 1/3 of a cup contains 13 grams of a combination of soluble and insoluble fiber. 1/2 cup contain 19 grams. Daily requirements run from 25 to 35 grams per day.
